The media that is both produced and presented to the public overwhelmingly depicts men as the only character to invest in.
The Feminist Directory is invested in expanding what the UK wider population is exposed to. This will broaden the expectations of who and what each person could be in any moment.
What we do
Storytelling is our bread and butter. We have actors, authors, directors, illustrators and a few other sorts of storytellers in our crew.
Our big project this year is for early readers. This will be pre-launching at Hay on Wye literature festival. First cohort will begin playing the game in September.

our founder Melinda Jones
Melinda founded the feminist directory as a result of many conversations with her grandchildren and her friends. There was a concern about the diversity of representation available.
Melinda hopes to bring great stories that centre diverse protagonists into many homes across the UK.
