Shoshana Leah Jones-Resnik

Shosh is the busiest bee of them all. She is usually working between four different time zones, which makes her either a little bit mad or essentially a Secret Agent. Her team think the latter.

She is the queen of multitasking, both with people and projects and always has time for her team. She has a stash of niche recipes that she shares and work calls are frequently peppered with cooking tips. She likes to feed people. All. The. Food.  We are pretty sure she is destined for world domination. Or should wear a cape.

Shosh likes to ride her bike in her very fetching duck outfit (see left). She is prepared for all weathers (as well as business eventualities) and has ridden the pandemic wave with the rest of the business world. We can stretch this wave metaphor to segway too…the waves of feminism!

  Maria McKee

Maria is fondly referred to by our team as “the most wholesome person I know”. She brings a sense of delight to every accomplishment and knows how to make exceptional birthday cakes.

Furthermore in her “phenomenal woman” credential list – she works in the Arts. Loving the diversity in her work and the challenges of great story telling. She particularly enjoys researching the stories of women change makers through history.

She is our “gets things done” woman and is always up for the challenge. Maria ‘s doggy sidekick, Bertie has no sense of personal space. He is an excellent feminist and loves all people equally.

Clara Benn

Born in London to an inspirational feminist single mum, Clara grew up in Berlin where, aged 13, she danced on the Berlin wall as it fell. At 16 she moved back to London on her own to study, then to Edinburgh for more study, fun and finding love. She now lives in London once again with her partner and is the challenging mother to two long-suffering kids.

Clara has a passion for issues surrounding inclusion, in particular advocacy for LGBTQ people and people with disabilities, learning difficulties and neurodiversity.

She secretly longs to leave all those capital cities behind and move a gingerbread house in a forest where she will lure in little children and teach them about acceptance and inclusion and the joy of difference.

Aliza Levi

Aliza is based in Australia by way of South Africa. She is an artist and power house working Mum of two kids. She uses her artistic talents to keep the team on their toes. One team meeting was spent leading the gang in an Art Therapy session. A lot of joy was had. And plastercine.

Aliza is the responsible adult of the group and offers wisdom and grounded-ness (as well as fun!).  She has an eagle eye for detail and ensures that the team don’t come up with made up words (which they have a tendency to do) and total gobble-de-gook.

Aliza owns the other half of the Paw Team:  little Bertie. We have a Bertie on both sides of the ocean!

OUR VALUES

We strive to be engaged citizens.

Working and collaborating to change the world for the better.

w

RESPECT

With diversity comes an abundance of experiences, opinions and solutions.

We believe no progress can be had without making space for difficult conversations, being uncomfortable and listening.

None of us are perfect at it, but the team here strives to practice and improve.

INFORMED

Data is IMPORTANT.

One of our tools in having healthy and productive conversations is to acknowledge that data plays a key role in making good decisions, but knowing criteria and methodology for that data is equally important.

All of our materials recognise that data MUST be a part of the conversation.

ECO-CONCIOUS

The environment matters.

We all want a future filled with ecological health and diversity.

We consciously weigh up all decisions with ecological cost and work to the best of our ability to reduce waste, be informed and build a future we believe in.

GUMPTION

Well behaved women seldom make history!

Bravery is needed to face conflict, injustice and our own personal discomfort. We are team members, who believe in pitching in, joining our voice in strength or speaking out (even when we fear we are alone).

We value and acknowledge this challenge, the personal costs and celebrate that we have the privilege of engaging as we do.
